Dear friends,

Collection 021 took us out into the beautiful wild. We did not want to look at the landscape through a window, we wanted to be in the thick of it.

This is a wardrobe for adventure. An urbanist finds themself on the side of a mountain, deep in woodland, under a big sky. Take a closer look at the print on their shirt and you'll see its a forager's map, pointing out which plants are safe to eat. Their coat is hand-painted camouflage. They are wearing layers of textured wool and technical ripstop - performance wear, ancient and modern. They tend a fire, tie knots and knot together a daisy chain.

Over the last couple of years, we have watched boundaries between the urban and the countryside blur. Erica and I shared a rural childhood but both feel very connected to the environment of the city. Whether treading peat or pavement, it's a long time since I've reached for a pair of shoes that aren't my pull-on hiking boots.

Sartorial rules have relaxed, giving permission for practicality. But we feel there is something much deeper and more expressive happening with people's changing wardrobes. More and more we all dress not for the job we have, but for the adventure we want.
