Toogood creates timeless works of unconventional design, encompassing the disciplines of fashion, furniture, homeware, interiors and fine art. At the heart of the studio is a restless spirit of experimentation where designers, furniture makers, sculptors and interior designers cross-pollinate on each project to produce work that is bold, sculptural and poetic.
We’re looking for an ambitious individual to support our brilliant team and look after our physical space. You’ll be involved in all aspects of studio life; you’ll manage our HR systems and processes, host exciting events for press and clients, support with shoot production, and ensure that daily life in the studio runs smoothly. Our aim is to make sure everyone feels able to do their best possible work - and it will be your job to help make this happen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
HR

Lead on recruitment, processing job applications and working with recruiters and team members to manage the process from advertising the role through to job offer

Manage the new starter process so everyone who joins Toogood has a positive experience right from the start

Schedule and manage the annual performance review cycle for all team members
-
Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and communicated to the team effectively

Create and maintain a roster of freelancers that can support the wider team at busy periods

Support the team in making the studio a happy and rewarding place to work

Support the CEO in developing the right team structure and writing job descriptions

Provide confidential support to team members with effective outcomes

Run our internship programme, ensuring consistency, while seeking out new opportunities

Provide monthly payroll updates to the finance team
STUDIO MANAGEMENT

Maintain the studio in good working order; keeping areas tidy, fixing problems and ordering supplies

In charge of organising cultural events and get togethers, including the Christmas party, quarterly team lunches and monthly studio drinks

Manage the logistics of studio events with the marketing team and external partners
-
Support on shoot production, including location research, managing logistics and drawing up schedules
-
Support the sales and marketing teams with travel and hotel bookings for events in the UK and abroad

Manage software licences and insurance renewals

Welcome visitors to the studio and organise meetings
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

2 year’s experience working in or running a fast-paced creative studio

This is a varied role, and you’ll work with everyone in the studio. You must have a can do attitude as you’ll wear lots of different hats

You must be meticulously organised and process driven

You need to be both good at spotting problems and solving them

Able to work independently and use your own initiative to keep things running smoothly, while collaborating effectively with the entire team
