Operations Co-ordinator 

Toogood is one of London’s leading fashion and interiors brands. The studio designs and manufactures artisanal, sculptural products across furniture, homeware accessories and contemporary clothing, as well as providing bespoke interior design services for commercial and residential projects.                      

With an established business in made to order furniture, as well as a growing volume fashion and homeware business, we're looking for an energetic Operations Co-ordinator to support the operations across all product areas. We manufacturer across the UK and Europe, and have an international customer base, so experience of international supply chains would be preferable. We’re growing significantly year on year, so it’s essential you’re ambitious and are willing to dive into any challenge that is given to you.                                          

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

  • Plan and oversee the logistics of made to order and batch produced furniture and homeware through the whole supply chain
  • Work closely with the fashion production team to oversee the logistics and distribution of fabrics and garments across the bi-annual seasonal cycle
  • Work with the relevant team to ensure Toogood’s e-commerce distribution is as efficient and cost effective as possible, whilst also maintaining the best possible customer service expected from a luxury client

Main responsibilities

Furniture & Homeware

  • Oversee the stock movements across all product in furniture and homeware
  • Ensure stock related information in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is correct and constantly updated
  • Liaise with made to order manufacturers to confirm production information, pricing and delivery dates
  • Support with all required shipping and logistics admin for made to order products, including customs documentation, invoicing, timings and end customer communication
  • Work closely with the production manager to continuously improve stock management processes

Fashion

  • Coordinate deliveries and shipments with the distribution centre, ensuring they are fulfilled correctly and on time, liaising with clients, sales, production and finance
  • Request quotes and make bookings with forwarders for fabric and deliveries from mills to and from factories
  • Check factory packing lists are correct, and ensure product is collected and delivered according to the critical path
  • Organise fabric swatch pack send outs to retailers prior to collection sales
  • General help and assisting with raw material stock, fabric stock and pre and post season organising
  • Manage sample loans for press or photoshoots (outbound, tracking and returns)

E-commerce

  • Responsible for transit packaging for e-commerce, working with distribution centre and internal team to identify the best solution
  • Work with distribution centre to answer all shipping and distribution customer queries, including customs, deliveries and returns
  • Logistical support for the annual sample sale
  • Manage returns to the storage warehouse at the end of the season

General

  • Manage relationships with couriers and freight partners and negotiate rates
  • Be the main point of contact on customs requirements for international stock movement and ensure we have the most efficient supply chain
  • Manage relationships with distribution centres and storage warehouses and negotiate rates
  • Provide the finance team with annual inventory / stock take reports
  • Work with the finance team to analyse costs and identify where efficiencies can be achieved

Minimum requirements

  • Highly organised, great attention to detail and methodical
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ambitious with a desire to improve systems and processes
  • Must have experience with ERP systems, ideally Zedonk
  • Experience in a similar role essential
